How amazing is this adorable little kitchen?
The white cabinets with glass inserts? Genius!
The black and white checkerboard floor? Swoon!
The gorgeous dripping with jewels chandelier? Sigh!
Pure perfection!

french + fabulous

I found this scan of French Elle Decor and the home of Interior Designer, Elodie Sire's, French flat.
I can't get over the character of this gorgeous apartment. The lighting is to die for, so extravagant and perfect, totally the jewels of the space. The light blue color on the walls, DEELISH! Please don't miss the curtains either, the detail on them is ridiculously good. I love it all.

My new Interior Design crush...Thai Cong

Ok honestly...I never thought that I would say this but I want this guy's apartment. Desperatley.
I usually love the homes of stylish women but man, this guy has got it going on.
MAJOR decorista bliss.
Thai Cong, the interior designer that did Carrie + Big's apartment on SATC2, is a rockstar!
I am just going gaga over his pad.
The wallpaper, the photography, the black + gold trimmed doors, the pops of yellow + aqua, all of it just speaks to me. I think his work is brilliant, so brilliant that I will stop writing and just let it speak for itself! enjoy!
MORE THAI CONG FABULOUSNESS...

When boho meets traditional interiors...

Remember this...

"If you are collector, let other people share your pride and joy. Don't sprinkle your collection out of sight in a meaningless jumble. Notice how groups of small objects, when they are well arranged, become important and effective. Remember that repetition is a form of emphasis. Collect what you will, but see to it that you arrange your hobby to its best advantage."

and now for some rooms that just absolutely rock my world!

the Art of Living....dining with gorgeous lighting

Today, I am more than grateful for everything in my life.
Lately I have been reminded just how short life is, and I don't want to ever miss out on that joy!
I am also praying for our country and the oil spill, its astounding what is going on.
So I just want to take a moment to thank God for every blessing,
especially you lovely readers who make my days so bright!
What would I do without you????

Speaking of bright...
I am spending today on the hunt for some amazing dining room lighting and I am needing inspiration.
Modern, bright, unique and over-sized light fixtures are all up in my mood.
I can spend hours gazing at the wonders of vintage light fixtures.
This place has great sources...I can barely pry myself away from the site.

I,of course, think Ron + Jaime always knock it out of the park!

a House Beautiful as ever! {manhattan apartment love}

Have you guys seen the lastest issue of House Beautiful?
I cannot get over the cover + the gorgeous NYC apartment that graces it.
Lots of color (as i'm sure you can guess) is my favorite, I literally get some serious pleasure looking at homes with extremely bold color palates. It warms my soul and feeds my eyes to see such goodness.
This gorgeous pink wallpaper is amazing! Chinoiserie, hello, i love you!
Oh, and of course all of the purple in this space....sigh.

I just can't get over the wallpaper. love.

chinoiserie...oh so chic

This beautiful picture currently reflects my "design mood", if you will.
I am so over the top in love with chinoiserie at the moment.
I mean, don't get me wrong, I always love some good chinoiserie moments,
but currently I just can't get enough of the look.
The wallpapers, the fabrics, the furniture, the accessories...ouf!
I have been searching and searching and there is endless inspiration.
I think I need to buy some chippendale chairs and call it a day.
(i apologize for the mass of photos in this post, but i love them all so much i couldn't leave any out)

currently craving a little history and romance

There is something so very romantic about candles + dark rooms.
I don't know what it is, but I find it intoxicating!
Lately, I have been really inspired by anything that might resemble a bit of history or romance in interior design.
One of the most beautiful ways to add a nod to the past is by decorating with vintage portraits.
Gorgeous portraits of beautiful women, historical gents or breathtaking scenery evoke  a sense of mystery.
I always find myself thinking about the stories behind antique paintings like these.
(a la the girl with the pearl earring...i loved that movie)
Don't they just look lovely?

House Tour: a chic Scandinavian retreat

If you have been reading my blog, you can see my current love for open shelving + globe pendant lamps, hasn't halted...at all.
In fact, when I spotted this adorable kitchen, I fell instantly for it. The beautiful wall color and the flooring also took my breath away. What I would give for a kitchen with open windows like that?

As I came to look more at this beautiful home tour, I went gaga for this amazing outdoor room.
Notice the huge windows, orange pendant lamp and sliding doors opening to a bright outdoor room.
The funky pink chairs + outreagous orange walls looks extremely stylish.

I would be thrilled to entertain in a home like this one.
The dining room chairs had me at Hello.
Gorgeous, isn't it?
It is definitely a home with some Scandinavian swagger.
I love it!
