Weekend bliss, birthday fun + BIG NEWS

So last weekend was another celebration for my birthday. I had to have an LA celebration in addition to Miami, right? It was also a small kick off party for our fabulous new crew and LA Woman website. This dinner had some of the most stylish girls in the city of Los Angeles. How blessed I am to have been able to celebrate with fabulous friends. I got some of the most amazing gifts (notice the beautiful kate spade box in my lap? loves.)
I just love girlfriend get togethers.

Suzanne my beautiful adopted big sis + founder of LA Woman hosted the most amazing dinner, she made an incredible pasta and the cake was absolutely to die for!
Here she is working her magic little hands.
Here is the rest of the fabulous crew... and be sure to check out their blogs too!

With all of these fabulous women taking over the world one business at a time, you could imagine how fun a girls get together would be, no?
So now for the big + exciting news...
The soiree was also a bit of a farewell party as I have packed up my things and am heading off to NYC next week! I am so thrilled to be making to be taking over to New York. It's something I have wanted to do forever. I have several projects in the works in Manhattan and I am ready to get those moving forward. So many exciting things happening.
I will keep you all posted on everything that happens of course.
And don't worry, I'll be back in Los Angeles before you know it!

Who: Leah Ashley
Where: Venice Beach, CA.
What: Decorista + Fashionista extraordinaire and blogger at Fabulous On A Budget

{This girl has quickly become one of my best friends...and trust me you will love her too.}

Its such a Fabulous honor to be featured in this week's Six to Bliss! One of my favorite quotes is "Follow Your Bliss".  Whatever it may be, I believe you should be true to your dreams and yourself. That goes for your design aesthetic as well! Don't be afraid to let YOU shine through when it comes to making your house a home. Here are a few things that make me smile at the end of each day.

1) Un-made beds on Saturday mornings

2)  Beach inspired photography

3) Brightly colored incense instead of candles

4) Homemade Cocktails on Friday nights.. and sometimes on Manic Mondays. Here's how to make the Rosemary Simple Syrup

5) Dream Boards because dreams are what get me out of bed every morning

6) Candy colored closets

fashionista friday ALL ABOUT SUZANNE ON STYLE

Have you ever met someone and just instantly felt like kindred spirits?
I love when that happens, especially now that have an adopted big sister.

Totally inspired by this fashionista + decorista + domestic diva...Suzanne Marquez.
Such a triple threat!
I'm totally girl crushing on her chic laid back LA style.
You must check out her blog for pics of her fab home
(perfectly decorated by Woodson & Rummerfield, of course!)

If Sydney, Australia wasn't a 14 hour plane ride I would visit all the time.
Not only is it my favorite city in the world, but one of my blog besties lives there.
Louise, Mrs. Table Tonic and I became bff at first blog-sight!
i love her and her fabulous little home office.
