Trend Spotting: Animalistic

This isn't just your ordinary taxidermy on the walls...
I love a good antler and by all means I appreciate the style, however I am kind of over seeing the same look everywhere. What I am really into right now is seeing different animals on the walls. How fabulous is this cheetah head over this chic home office area? I can hardly deal with how much swag she has.

Then in this bright white and black entryway, I think this black horse head looks so good. I love an art wall with eccentric items mixed in. It looks so good and well put together. I am so digging this look right now...

My Springtime accessories...

This seasons High Point Market is fast approaching (I fly out this weekend) and I'm scrambling to try and find things to pack. With so many showrooms to see, parties to attend, meetings to get to I need to be smart about what I choose to bring with me. Days are long, but incredibly exciting...who's coming with me?
Thanks to Coach I have been supplied with my shoe essentials from their new spring collection which I must say, metallics and wicker weaving are everything right now.

Now that I'm all set with footwear, what I really need to find is the perfect handbag. Something in a great color for spring time in the city and also big enough to carry around all of my decorista tools + supplies. There are so many chic bags out there, I need your help deciding which one to go with. I'm a very classic girl so I like clean lines and beautiful colors.

Style-icious Sunday: rainy day decor inspiration

Such a heavenly sunday in the city today. Rain in the streets and decorating on my mind. I have got to get together some inspiration for my new space. I can't wait to get it all done already, I am the most impatient decorator when it comes to my own space. Today I am inspired by the color palates of these adorable fashionistas with bubble umbrellas, something I definitely wish I had incredibly chic are those sweet umbrellas?

and current love of green!

my style formula...Eclectic Glamour

Inspired my Sketch42's Nicole & her fabulous post about her style formula,
I decided to share mine with you...I define my style as

one part feminine romance...
one part bold & decadent color (like Miles Redd)
part tradition & sophistication (like Mary McDonald)
a hint of shine & gold (like Kelly Wearstler)
and tons of vintage glamour (like Woodson & Rummerfield)!
and just a teeny bit of trendy
its totally hard to define...because I really love it all!

The Decorista Style File...what I want now!

Fresh off a fabulous Thursday evening of soirees (including a Veranda event), I am completely inspired by the cover of the new issue of Veranda. The gorgeous cover shot is a Miles Redd design and is over the top amazing. I love the way he used the beautiful emerald hue.
I am always inspired by decor when I shop for fashion and this season emerald green is on my radar.
I am so craving these delicious goodies...
