Over the weekend while my family was staying with me, I got a whole new burst of decor energy. My mom and I were going through old House Beautiful magazines looking at interiors. One particular issue (February 2014) stood out to me because almost every spread was filled with color and glamour. I've been very into neutrals these days but all of a sudden its like I need a burst of color in my life. I recently bout myself an Andy Warhol Marilyn print for my dining room area, so the second I saw this library by Steven Gambrel, my heart went into instant palpitations.
My Marilyn has more neon and pink but this one is just so beautiful with the rich teal. I was over teal for a minute, now I'm back on it. It's so rich and elegant and goes with every color. It's actually more blue less green than most, I'm into that.
In fact, the whole house is fantastic.
Another spread in this issue is the Miles Redd townhome in NYC. The best part of the whole place to me is the peacock bathroom wallpaper. He also uses a ton of blue and chinoiserie which I of course love. It's a beautiful home with wallpaper everywhere, you really can't get much better than that.
