I am not too sure about the print...but I do adore these different versions of the 

happy print!

i think these plates are oh so adorable!

this glossy floor is gorgeous with the pretty blues...

this is the perfect gingham for me...pretty pillow so very perfect.

Decorista Trend Spotting: painted red furniture

This weekend I have been up to lots and lots of projects.

Repainting furniture has gotten the best of me, I'm hooked.

So, lately I have been noticing bits of red catching my eye.

I know we all took notice of this gorgeous apartment in Lonny Mag.

The red console dresser in her hallway did not go unnoticed by moi. I fell instantly in love with the glossy redness of it. I love the drawer with tons of jewels packed in. Ooh la la.

Makes me want to repaint something red, STAT!

While reading my lovely friend Katie Armour's blog (a daily fave) 

I spotted these adorable diamond lattice side tables that I am smitten with.

they are so adorable. i am crushing on them. hard! 

They make the perfect guest room side tables, with plenty of room for books.

San Francisco Decorator showcase (so wish i could have been there)

and with my recent obsession/fascination with lighting...i thought i'd go ahead and share.

I think it all started at the Gramercy Hotel lobby in NYC.
This is why I LOVE hotel design, whatever the trend they make it perfection.

but lately everywhere I go shopping or thrifting I am seeing it.

Emerald Green Malachite. 

It's a trend that has not expired.

Even Mr. Tony Duquette agrees and he has recently put out his line of rugs

What's new..?

In light of my recent post on 2010 decor trends,

I have been on the hunt for all that is gray + yellow.

Sure enough, West Elm is right on point...the NEW collection spans from anything yellow to everything gray. Here are some simple buys that I would make to 

keep my place hot, fresh + 2010.

Combine the gray striped sheets (below) with the yellow quilt (above) for some hotness.

throw in a zebra or damask rug to mix it up

nothing says luxury better than bone trinket boxes for the desk space

and why not throw in a bird cage for a tounge-in-cheeck element

There you go...just a few fresh additions to spruce up your pad for 2010.

2010 decor trends

My new year is starting out swimmingly. 

I am getting ready to pack up the ol' christmas decor and bring in some new fun to my pad.

MSN.com has done a preview of what is to come in 2010 as far as design goes.
