Well, today I am getting everything squared away that I need to take care of in the city because tomorrow its supposed to snow! So, you better believe that after a big nice warm breakfast I will taking a lovely and enjoyable day relaxing at home, writing some thank you notes and trying out my pretty fireplace for the first time. I love my white mantle...

Oh how I just adore fireplace mantles...these lovely looks are my favorite.
A dash of purple makes for the perfect femininity to the masculine edge of a fire, don't you think?

Hope you guys have a cozy + wonderful weekend!

We don't have a real fire place. But if we did, how I would love to decorate it.

So funny that you posted this. I just posted about needing some bedroom inspiration and one of the things I need to change is how I use my unusable fireplace!
Dearest Ashlina,
Would have loved to see a picture of YOUR fireplace; makes a post always so much more personal.
For me the white one would be the choice.
Enjoy a cozy weekend and love to you,
Mariette
I love the antlers in the fireplace or the one stacked with wood. So down-to-earth.

I love those fireplaces! Places like these in combination with a hot chocolate are the best thing when it's cold and stormy outside...

I have a functioning fireplace, but I definitely need to do something to it to make it pretty. Thanks for the inspiration!
So good to see this - we are redoing our first house and have finally got the fireplace looking sleek and white - can't wait to begin styling it!!
I love fireplaces unfortunately we have no use for them here in the the tropics :( Your fireplace looks super chic and I love the ginger jars!
