The Decorista tip of the day...moments of red

Every so often I run into the friend who is in desperate need of updating their decor. Yet, we run into the  same old problem...white walls. One sure fire way to freshen up white walls is to throw in a bit of red to the mix. Instantly brightens things up. I am loving this eclectic and bohemian mix.

Love these pics! I too have white walls and decorate with red, purple and gold. But tell me, what or why do people who aren't Buddist has the bust or statues in their homes? What do they represent? Or is this a trend?

I love white walls but you're absolutely right that you have to be extra careful with them. Beautiful photos, as always!

Red must be my favorite color accent for any room. Love this!

That first image is particularly appealing to me. I'm always curious how people style long skinny consoles.

LOVE that red birdcage!! CB has a cute yellow birdcage right now.

Ashlina, I totally understand what you mean when you have clients with white walls. I love how they introduced Red to give the walls a punch! I just started my blog, would love for you take a look!

I must admit red is not my go to color, but these are subtle. I love the thin red frame ... it adds character. You have me rethinking red this am. Thanks!
